On 21st October, Triton Group fundraised £422 for ‘Breast Cancer Now’, the UK based charity providing world-class research and care for anyone affected by Breast Cancer. ‘Breast Cancer Now’ are the UK’s largest breast cancer charity. Their action plan is, ‘’by 2050 anyone living with breast cancer will live.’’
‘Breast Cancer Now’ provide information to educate and support people about how to monitor for breast cancer, as well as funding scientific research into treatments for breast cancer. The research they fund is strategically placed to have the most positive impact. For example, funds go towards preventative measures as well as research to help people live well with breast cancer.
The whole team and members of the local community in Wetherby were involved in the event, baking buns and wearing pink to mark the day and raise funds. The accounts team even dyed their hair pink!
This fundraising drive was initiated by Taylor Shaw whose role is Operations Co-ordinator for Triton Security. Sadly, Taylor’s mother, Caroline Shaw, passed away from breast cancer in 2021.
