The Queen’s platinum Jubilee weekend marks her 70th year as monarch. The public were invited to join in the celebrations during a 4-day bank holiday weekend 2-5th June 2022.
Did you know that Triton Projects supplied Media Platforms & cable bridges for the Jubilee weekend events in London?
Triton Projects delivers bespoke installation and monitoring of temporary structures for public events. Temporary Platforms were installed by the Triton Projects team down the Mall all the way to Buckingham Palace.
Jubilee celebrations which took place on the Mall included, Trooping the Colours and the Platinum Party at the Palace.
Trooping the Colours in an annual event for the Monarchs birthday held in June. The ‘colour’ is the 1st Battalion, Irish Guards and more than 1200 officers and soldiers who display military pageantry. Starting at Horse Guards Parade they ‘troop’ along the Mall towards Buckingham Palace.
The Jubilee Platinum Party was a star-studded music concert. Artists such as Hans Zimmer, Alicia Keys, Ella Eyre, Elbow, Craig David and Duran Duran performed for the Queen and public on 4th June.
Temporary structures down the Mall protected the public during these events. CCTV towers monitored the area for dangers, whilst viewing platforms enabled better access for observing the site. Cable bridge temporary structures were also used to support the Media feeds and ensure the safe movement of the public, reducing the risk of tripping.
Willy Irish, Managing Director for Triton Projects commented. ‘’It is an Incredible honour to provide the necessary temporary structures during the Jubilee celebrations. Triton Projects feel privileged to have been part of the Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations! Long live the Queen!’’
