This week, Triton Group joined forces with Your Housing Group, one of the North’s leading landlords in social and affordable housing, to spearhead a collective effort to creating cleaner communities.
Armed with litter picking tools, representatives from Triton and Your Housing Group spent the afternoon collecting litter around the Brookvale area in Runcorn, Liverpool. This initiative was led by James Coates from Your Housing Group.
What is the importance of the Brookvale Litter Network?
The Brookvale Litter Network encourages residents to take responsibility of their community by keeping the neighbourhood clean and tidy. Litter pickers and equipment can be collected from the Brookvale Community Centre for locals to play their part and organise their own litter picking initiatives.
The Brookvale Community Litter Picking team meet each month for a monthly litter pick. One of the main focuses of the initiative is to educate residents on the importance of looking after the area you live in and to positively impact the “kerb appeal” of the estate.
Why Triton support environmental responsibility
Supporting worthwhile causes and making the world a better place perfectly aligns with Triton’s values and ethos. The collaborative effort with Your Housing Group demonstrates our commitment to driving meaningful change and nurturing a culture of corporate social responsibility.
During the litter pick, the team collected 45 bags of rubbish which were taken away by Triton to be disposed of appropriately. This result takes the annual total of litter collected to 245 bags this year, with one more month left to go!
A huge well done and thank you to everyone who volunteered to take part!
